Redness, swelling, slight blistering, mild discomfort, and raised areas are extremely common reactions that most patients should expect after laser tattoo removal services. The treated surrounding skin area will feel tender and sensitive at first. These reactions generally fade within a few hours to two weeks as your skin heals.

Appointment Time

Downtime
You may resume most regular activities immediately after treatment. However, avoid excessive exercise and heat sources for 3-4 days to protect the treated area and prevent adverse reactions.
Aftercare
In the week following your treatment, keep the area clean and avoid sun exposure to the treatment area. Do not expose the treated area to direct sunlight until the skin has completely healed. Be consistent with sun-safe skincare and regularly apply sunscreen with a high SPF throughout your removal process, between treatments, and for at least a month after. This helps prevent infection and ensures your skin’s texture returns to normal.

FAQ
Unfortunately, we cannot give a specific answer to this question. We will provide an educated assessment based on tattoo size, age, and ink colours, but the biggest factors are the type of tattoo ink used. Some fragmented ink particles break down easily, while other pigment particles are more stubborn. Some clients’ tattoos can be removed with a single treatment, while others may require multiple treatments.
With the technology we use most colour inks can be removed. However there are inks like white and yellow that sometimes can be very stubborn or not possible to remove. On occasion due to the composition in certain (usually bright colours) inks they will not respond to laser treatment, this is rare.
In very simple terms the laser fires a intense pulse of light that travels through the skin and impacts with the ink causing it to break up into tiny particles. The bodies immune system then flushes these particles away resulting in the fading and removal of the tattoo.
With the high quality technology used we expect there to be no scarring however as with all treatments on the skin we can give no guarantees. The biggest risk to the skin is during the aftercare period. If the individual picks and scratches the skin then this can easily damage the skin and effect the results. If you look after and moisturise the skin regularly you get the best outcome.

Please arrive freshly showered with completely clean skin, free from lotions, oils, creams, and fragrances. If there is excessive hair in the treatment area, shave the area before treatment.
Important: Avoid sun exposure to the treatment area and refrain from using UV tanning beds for four weeks before treatment. Discontinue self-tanning products 2 weeks before treatment and remove any residual self-tanner to ensure a safe and effective outcome.
