Registered Massage Therapy with Leah Briczin
Leah pursued a career in Registered Massage Therapy to expand her knowledge of the human body and assist her clients in understanding the significance of maintaining healthy movement practices.
Having been involved in wrestling and rugby as a former athlete, Leah personally experienced the impact of injuries and chronic pain on one’s performance and overall well-being. Recognizing the widespread reality of pain, Leah believes that establishing a routine for rest and recovery is essential, and that a self-care regimen is instrumental in achieving progress free from discomfort. It was through her discovery of the therapeutic benefits of massage and subsequent practice that Leah felt she had found her true calling.
“Massage Therapy is a deeply meditative experience for me, enabling me to focus entirely on the present moment and the individual before me. The human body serves as my road map, and I am continually amazed by the nervous system’s responses to various stimuli, facilitated through a diverse range of modalities.”
Relocating to Squamish in 2022, Leah swiftly developed an interest in rock climbing and now spends much of her free time in the gym and at the crag, as well as exploring new adventures through hiking, biking, and traveling. Leah particularly enjoys working with athletic individuals, providing stress management support, and she has also gained experience working with clients who have suffered from motor-vehicle accidents, effectively managing headaches and concussions. Her repertoire of techniques includes deep tissue work, joint mobilizations, neuro-relaxation techniques, Swedish massage, sports massage, and myofascial release. Above all, Leah prioritizes the creation of personalized treatment plans that address each client’s unique concerns and needs.
