Dermaplaning
Dermaplaning is a non-invasive cosmetic treatment that involves scraping off 2-3 weeks of dead skin cells along with vellus hair, aka peach fuzz. It will leave your skin brighter and incredibly smooth and soft. This allows for greater penetration of your skincare products and creates a flawless canvas for makeup to glide on smoothly.
Using a gentle blade, the layers of rough, dull and damaged skin, are manually removed. In the process, unwanted facial hair that sits above the epidermis is removed as well.
What to expect from your treatment
You’ll feel the sensation of the blade crossing your skin, like shaving with a razor. You you won’t feel any discomfort.ù
After the treatment you can expect extra smooth skin. Some clients experience slight redness which will fade quickly.

why choose dermaplaning
before your appointment
At least three to five days before your procedure, stop exfoliating altogether. If your skin is even slightly burnt, an esthetician cannot get to work on any type of skincare treatment.
Avoid sun exposure, especially if you are prone to sunburns and redness, in the week or two leading up to your dermaplaning appointment.
Dermaplaning cannot be performed on active acne as it can easily spread the bacteria and cause another flare-up. If you do have an acne flare up, you might want to reschedule or alternatively try microdermabrasion.
